Spiked Watermelon Sticks

  • 1/2 watermelon
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup tequila
  • 1/4 cup triple sec
  • Tajin and lime zest, garnish
  1. Rinse watermelon and place on a cutting board. Cut in half, then turn the cut side of the watermelon flat onto the cutting board. Start slicing, 1-2” wide depending how large you want the sticks, working from one side to the other. Rotate the melon and start cutting the opposite direction, making cube-sized shapes.
  2. Infuse your watermelon sticks with a spiked simple syrup by bringing 1 cup sugar and 3/4 cup water to a boil, let cool.
  3. Add 1/2 cup tequila and 1/4 cup triple sec to the simple syrup. Pour mixture over watermelon sticks arranged in a baking dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, flipping the sticks halfway through.
  4. Garnish with tajin, a sprinkle of sea salt and lime zest before serving!
